Coiled Wonders is a themed calendar that celebrates women pursuing their passions and entrepreneurship. The theme for 2022’s inaugural calendar is Seasonal Celebrations, and it features a vibrant Valentine’s Day display for February and a festive Thanksgiving display for November.
Creator T.R. Harris had an ongoing fascination with calendars at a very young age. She enjoyed the colorful photos, themes, and racing to see the picture chosen for her birth month. However, she never found a calendar that showcased people who looked like her or content that was truly relatable. Now, T.R. Harris strives to implement the difference she didn’t see.
Coiled Wonders initially started as a calendar to celebrate natural hair. But as the models were chosen one-by-one, T.R. Harris noticed a similar motif amongst them: they were all pursuing some form of entrepreneurship. She felt it was the opportune time to promote black women in business and those who are pursuing their passions. Some are full-time entrepreneurs, some manage a career as well as their business, and some are hobbyists. No matter where they are on their journey, each woman brings their own story, strength, and style. And we are here to celebrate them! Learn more about the women of 2022 below.
